Digital Family Card is a VR experience created for UNDP Kazakhstan and presented at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the UN Secretariat in NYC.

“Partnership for Change: Celebrating 30 Years of Tackling Inequality and Advancing Digital Development in Kazakhstan” side event celebrates 30 years of partnership between Kazakhstan and UNDP, showcasing the impact of their collaboration in advancing digital development and tackling inequalities, particularly on the historic co-financing mechanism of $30 million from the Government of Kazakhstan to UNDP's Country Programme.

The event featured the flagship initiative of the partnership, the Digital Family Card, which is an innovative govtech designed to tackle inequalities using a whole-of-government approach. This breakthrough innovation enables the efficient delivery of services and facilitates coordination between different government agencies. During the High-level Political Forum, the solution was showcased using Virtual Reality to give participants an immersive and interactive experience of the Digital Family Card and how it is used in different scenarios.

Akmyrat led a team of 10 in Kazakhstan to produce, direct, and co-write a VR experience. The project was completed successfully in just two-and-a-half months and was showcased at a UN event that Akmyrat also produced. On July 17, 2023, the immersive Digital Family Card experience was presented to approximately 40 people. To ensure a comfortable VR experience, five docents were present to assist participants and provide information about the subject matter.
